William "Billy" Davis

William E. Davis, Jr. (Billy), 69, of the Town of Salisbury (Stratford), New York, passed away peacefully at his home on August 20, 2021 with his wife and partner of 40 years, Barbara Davis at his side.

He was born on January 28, 1952 in Jersey City, New Jersey and was the son of the late, William, Sr. and Angelina (Elmo) Davis. Billy later moved to Fords, NJ and North Bruswick, NJ before moving to Stratford, NY in 2001.

On April 3, 2001, Billy was united in marriage to his 20 year partner, Barbara K. Szemcsak in Lawrenceville, New Jersey. The couple shared 40 years together and raised two wonderful children, Robert Belluscio and Brieann Caruso.

He was formerly employed with General Tire in New Jersey and Impact XM of Dayton, New Jersey.

Along with Barbara, Billy shared the love of fishing, the mountains, boating, camping and especially their yearly family camping trips to many lovely and interesting places. He was an exceptional baseball player and had tryouts with both the New York Yankees and the Phillies. A beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend, Billy will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara K. Davis at home; his son, Robert Belluscio of Tom's River, NJ; his daughter, Brieann Caruso and her husband, Brian of Milltown, NJ; cherished grandchildren, Aiden Caruso, Christian Caruso, Naomi Belluscio and Camila Belluscio; a brother, Robert Davis of Lake Placid, FL and his children, Will Davis and Brandy Davis; a sister, Susan Recchia of Old Bridge, NJ; a niece, Jamie Farkas of Somerset, NJ who he had a special bond with; and aunts, Fran Davis of Brick, NJ and Mary Baracko of Toms River, NJ; and several cousins.

In keeping with family wishes, there will be no formal services. A Celebration of Life will be held in New Jersey at a time to be announced. Arrangements are with Miller-Plonka Funeral Home, 30 Wolf Street, Dolgeville, New York.

The Davis Family would like to give a special thank you to Angie Lorme, Nora and Mark Guinup, Jason Weber and Charles Jodway for being there when help was needed for Billy and Barbara.
