Tristan Thomas Palabon Carpenter Obituary

Tristan Thomas Palabon Carpenter, 14, of Stratford, New York, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, June 10, 2022 at Albany Medical Center in Albany, New York with his loving family by his side after a brief but valiant fight against Acute Myeloid Leukemia. 

He was born on February 18, 2008 in Maasin, Southern Leyte, Philippines and is the son of Mica and Marie Carpenter. Tristan was currently attending Dolgeville Central School where he was an excelling eighth grade student. 

In his spare time, Tristan enjoyed collecting pug memorabilia, was an avid video gamer, when not playing games, he enjoyed listening to VGM (video game music), Imagine Dragons and Animation Music. He would collect such tracks and keep them on his YouTube music play list. He also had a deep bond with his brother and sister and loved playing with them. He mostly enjoyed spending time with his family. Tristan will always be known as a gentle, kind and loving boy who left this world too soon. He will be dearly missed by his family, friends, classmates and community. 

Tristan is survived by his loving parents, Mica and Marie Carpenter of Stratford, NY; a brother, Kent Palabon and sister, Micarie Carpenter, both at home; his paternal grandmother, Teal Carpenter of Stratford, NY; maternal grandfather, Roso Palabon, Sr. of Philippines; aunts and uncles, Nathan Carpenter and his wife, Heather of Salisbury Center, NY; Marites Oclarit and husband, Nelson, Roso Palabon, Jr. and his wife, Gina, Marivic Pey and her husband, Henry, and Roy Palabon all of the Philippines; his special chihuahua, Chloe; and many great aunts, great uncles, cousins, extended family and friends from school. 

He was predeceased by his paternal grandfather, Richard Carpenter and his maternal grandmother, Flaviana Palabon. 

Calling hours will be held on Sunday, June 26, 2022 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Salisbury Universalist Church, Route 29, Salisbury Center, NY. A memorial service will immediately follow calling hours at 4 p.m., also at the church. The family will host a reception following the service at the church.
