Timothy M. Hester Obituary

Timothy M. Hester, 64, of Dolgeville, New York, passed away peacefully on Friday evening, January 22, 2021 at Albany Medical Center in Albany , New York with his loving family by his side.

He was born on February 28, 1956 in Utica, New York and was the son of the late, Frank and Julianne (Kalinowski) Hester. Timothy was educated at New York Mills schools.

Timothy was currently employed by Wal-mart Distribution in Marcy, New York in the .com department as a loader and laborer, where he worked for 20 years. He was scheduled to retire in March of this year. He was formerly employed by Bundy Concrete in New York Mills for several years and Mohawk Metals as a welder for 14 years.

Timothy shared a beloved union of 16 years with his companion, Mary Gressler.

In his spare time, Tim loved the outdoors, and enjoyed  the woods especially hunting, fishing and hiking. He loved working on his guns and target shooting. He enjoyed working in his man cave doing leather work and tying jigs for his fishing. He loved being home and working in the yard and gardens.  He will be greatly missed by his family.

He is survived by his loving companion, Mary Gressler of Dolgeville , NY ; beloved son, Timothy M. Hester and his companion, Jenna Becker of Mohawk, NY and Tim's brother, Andrew Zysk of Little Falls, NY.  Mary's daughter, Sara Palomba and her husband, Jay; two grandchildren, James and Brinley; a sister, Sue Foster and her husband, Steve Foster of Utica, NY; a brother, Frank Hester and his wife, Dianne of Alba, TX; three step-sisters, Kathi Cirasuolo and her husband, Michael of Yorkville, NY, Donna Edwards and Larry  of Sun City Center, FL and Debbie Edwards of Seneca Falls, NY; Mary's siblings, Debra Marucci of Little Falls, NY, Jane Jorrey and her husband, Mike of Salisbury, NY, Russell Gressler of Little Falls, NY and Julie Castor and her husband, Evan of Dolgeville, NY; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

In keeping with family wishes, there will be no formal services. A Celebration of Life gathering will take place in the spring at a time to be announced. The family is being cared for by Miller-Plonka Funeral Home, 30 Wolf Street , Dolgeville , New York 13329, (315) 429-7123.
