Susan "Susie" C. Nagle Obituary

Susan “Susie” C. Nagle, 90, of Dolgeville, New York, passed away peacefully on Wednesday afternoon, February 25, 2026 at Alpine Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Little Falls, New York. At the time of her passing, she had the love and care of her family and two daughters by her side.

She was born on November 9, 1935 at home in Dolgeville, New York and was the daughter of the late, Edward and Hazel (Rockwell) Coppernoll. Susie was educated at Dolgeville Central School and graduated with the Class of 1954.

On September 23, 1955, Susie was united in marriage to Charles J. Nagle in Dolgeville, New York. The couple shared a blessed union of nearly 45 years until Mr. Nagle passed away on July 11, 2000.

In earlier years, Susie was employed by the Economy Store, Daniel Green Shoe and the Village of Dolgeville. She also was able to stay home and take care of her children until they were grown and then return to work as a school bus driver for Dolgeville Central School in which she loved and truly enjoyed working with the children.

Susie was of the Lutheran faith and was a member of the United Lutheran and Presbyterian Church in Dolgeville where she served as an Altar Guild, a member of the Auskerada Maques Rock City Chapter # 204, Order of the Eastern Star where she served as Past Matron as well as other positions throughout her many years of service. She was also a volunteer member of the Dolgeville Ambulance Corp and the Dolgeville-Manheim Historical Society.

She enjoyed spending time sitting on her porch and visiting with family and friends, going to sporting events, and was active in her community for many years. Her most favorite time was with her granddaughters, Kaye, Britt and Lauren whom she called her “chickadees”. A loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend, Susie will be missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her two daughters, Claudia Nagle and her companion, Connie Ruark of Salisbury, MD and Leann Weaver and her husband, Scott Weaver of Dolgeville, NY; three granddaughters, Kaye Nagle-Wood and her husband, Joel Dalton of Buckey, AZ, Brittany (Rice) Dineen and her husband, JJ Dineen of Dolgeville, NY and Lauren Weaver of Dolgeville, NY; a great-grandson, Nash Charles Dalton; nieces, nephews and cousins; and friends who became family at Alpine.
