Stella J. Todd

Stella J. Todd, 75, of Dolgeville, New York and formerly of Heuvelton, New York, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 5, 2022 at St. Luke’s Healthcare in New Hartford, New York with her family by her side.

She was born on March 8, 1947 in Madrid, New York and was the daughter of Evered and Connie (Scarth) French. Stella attended and graduated from Morristown Central School.

On August 24, 1968, Stella was united in marriage to Roger M. Todd in Brassie Corners, New York. The couple shared a loving marriage of 51 years. Mr. Todd passed away on December 5, 2019.

Stella was formerly employed as a librarian at Heuvelton Free Library in Heuvelton, New York. She retired in 2000 after 20 years of service. Stella also assisted her husband, Roger in running their family farm located at State Route 184 in Heuvelton, New York.

In her spare time, Stella enjoyed bowling, traveling and NASCAR. A loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, she will be dearly missed by her family.

She is survived by her children, Lisa Bjork of Chesapeake, VA, Philip Todd of Utica, NY, and Jeffrey Todd and his wife, Sherrie Petkovsek of Dolgeville, NY; special grandchildren, Austin Todd of Stratford, NY, Bethany Murphy of Ogdensburg, NY, Tabatha Knight of St. Louis, MO, Autumn Todd of Fultonville, NY, Olivia Jaikin of St. Johnsville, NY and Codey Petkovsek of Salisbury, NY; cherished great-grandchildren, Emma Murphy, Ian Murphy, and Arien Murphy; a brother, Marvin French and his wife, Kathy of Alexandria, Bay, NY; special friends, Janet and Ellen as well as her special group of girlfriends.

Stella was predeceased by her husband, Roger, a brother, Curt and a sister, Sandy.

A memorial graveside service for both Roger and Stella Todd will be held on Friday, July, 29, 2022 at 2 p.m. at Hillcrest Cemetery in Heuvelton, New York where she will be laid to rest together. All are welcome to attend.
