Dolgeville
Mrs. Ruby B. Williams, 83, a resident of Parkside Courts, Dolgeville, died on Monday January 22, 2018 at Little Falls Hospital, of natural causes.
Ruby was born in the Town of Salisbury, on January 13, 1935 the daughter of Clayton L. and Adeline (Ruby) Burdick and attended rural schools.
She was united in marriage to Lyman A. Williams on April 5, 1953 in Dolgeville, by Rev. Moulton. The couple then resided in the Stratford area for many years. Mr. Williams predeceased her on December 22, 1990.
Ruby was employed by the Daniel Green Company of Dolgeville for many years retiring from there in 1996.
Ruby was a very caring, loving and kind person who always put her family first. They were of the upmost importance to her.
She is survived by a son Keith Williams of Dolgeville, a Daughter LouAnn Day of Lake Alfred, Fl., a brother Melvyn L. Burdick of Silver Springs, Fl., and her grandchildren, Beth, Roxanne, Forrest, Christine, Melissa, Kevin Jr., Brian, Jennifer and Jeffrey. She also leaves several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son Kevin in 1993 a grandson Jake in 1999, and a grandson Dennis, along with her brothers and sisters.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday January 27, 2018 at 2 PM at the Roberts Funeral Home 3 Faville Avenue Dolgeville. Rev. Lynn Lockwood of the Stratford Methodist Church will officiate. Burial will be in the Spring in the Stratford Cemetery. CALLING HOURS ARE ON Saturday from Noon until 2PM.
