Rose Marie (Hadcock) Hinderliter, 70, of Gloversville, New York, passed away on November 5, 2022 at Ellis Hospital in Schenectady, New York after a brief illness. At the time of her passing, she was comforted by her beloved family.
She was born on February 15, 1952 in Little Falls, New York and was the daughter of the late, Ellis and Beatrice (Cool) Hadcock. Rose Marie attended Stratford Central School and graduated with the Class of 1970.
Rose Marie was a member of the Fellowship of Christ in Gloversville, New York where she was active with her church, Sunday School and Vacation Bible School.
Rose was formerly employed as a waitress at Union Hall for many years until she answered her calling to be a foster parent. Throughout her years, she cared for many children. Rose Marie adopted two special needs brothers, Matthew and Ryan, and was their main caregiver at her home.
In her spare time, Rose enjoyed arts, crafts, flowers and gardening.
A loving mother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend, Rose Marie will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
She is survived by her two cherished sons, Matthew Hinderliter and Ryan Hinderliter, both at home, siblings; one brother, Harold (Trudy) Hadcock of Webster, NY; three sisters, Ellen Blumberg of Little Falls, NY, Joan Stalnaker and her husband, Paul of Ava, NY, Mary Sponable of Salisbury, New York; a sister-in-law, Carol Hadcock of Johnstown, NY; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and many extended family members.
Rose Marie was predeceased by her parents, Ellis and Beatrice Hadcock; sisters, Fannie Rumrill, Patricia Rachon; a brother, Gordon Hadcock; and a brother-in-law, Robert Blumberg.
Calling hours will be held on Sunday, November 27, 2022 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at Miller-Plonka Funeral Home, 30 Wolf Street, Dolgeville, New York 13329. A memorial service will be held immediately following the calling hours at 3 p.m. also at the funeral home with Pastor Jeffrey Slaybaugh, Pastor of Fellowship of Christ. A spring graveside committal service will take place at Salisbury Rural Cemetery.
The family would like to thank Matthew and Ryan’s caregivers, Linda Getman and Theresa Robinson for all of their compassion and care they have given to Rose Marie, her sons, and her family during this difficult time.
