Ronald J. Wright, Sr.

Ronald J. Wright, Sr., 62, of Herkimer, New York, passed away on Monday evening, January 25, 2021 at Bassett Healthcare in Cooperstown, New York.

He was born on January 8, 1959 in Little Falls, New York and was the son of the late, Jackson and Alberta (Strobeck) Wright. Ron was educated at Stratford Central School and graduated with the Class of 1977.

Ron was formerly employed as a healthcare worker with United Cerebral Palsy in Marcy, New York.

In his spare time, Ron loved to travel with his son, Ronald, Jr., enjoyed fishing and most importantly, spending time with his family. His kindness and presence will be missed by all who knew Ron.

Ron is survived by his beloved son, Ronald J. Wright, Jr. of Herkimer, NY; a loving sister, Margaret Holliman and her husband, Lawrence of Camden, NY; a loving brother, Daniel Wright of Herkimer, NY; a sister in law, Teri Hagen of Westmoreland, NY; several nieces, nephews; and cousins.

He is predeceased by his parents, his siblings, Robert Wright, John Wright, Kris Hagen, Richard Waterbury, Jackson Wright, Jr. and an infant sister, Flossie Wright.

A spring graveside service will be held on Thursday, May 27, 2021 at 1 p.m. Curtis Corners Cemetery in the Town of Salisbury, New York. The family is being cared for by Roberts Funeral Home, 30 Wolf Street, Dolgeville, New York 13329.
