Ronald A. Cole

Ronald A. Cole, 70, of Little Falls, New York, passed away on Friday, January 31, 2025 at Wynn Hospital in Utica, New York after a brief illness.

He was born on October 17, 1954 in Oneida, New York and was the son of the late, Maurice and Janet (Menzer) Cole. Ronald received his education at Canastota High School. Shortly thereafter, Ronald enlisted in the United States Navy and after serving, received a honorable discharge.

Throughout the years, Ronald worked at various trucking jobs including Obreza’s Trucking in Mohawk, New York and at Walmart Distribution Center in Marcy, New York.

He was a former member of the Dolgeville Rod and Gun Club. Ronald enjoyed fishing, baking in particular making bread, preparing spaghetti dinners, gardening, shooting guns, and playing guitar. His infectious sense of humor enabled him to make people laugh even in the worst of times. Ronald will be deeply missed by his family.

He is survived by his children, AJ Cole and his wife, Michelle, Matthew Cole and his wife, Celia, Ryan Cole, Tyler Cole and his companion, Emily Miller and Shannon LaVenture; a twin brother, Donald Cole of TX; brothers, Gary Cole and Clifford Cole; several grandchildren; nieces, nephews and extended family.

Ronald was predeceased by his daughter, Jenifer (Cole) Wheeler Wirickx on November 16, 2019 as well as his parents.

In keeping with family wishes, there will be no services. The family is being cared for by locally owned and family operated, Miller-Plonka Funeral Home, 30 Wolf Street, Dolgeville, New York 13329.
