Peter A. Guetti

November 15, 1943 ~ April 5, 2022 (age 78)


Peter A. Guetti, 78, of Utica, New York, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday afternoon, April 5, 2022 at St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Utica, New York after a brief illness.

He was born on November 15, 1943 in Bennington, Vermont and was the son of the late, Henry and Jeanne (Longtin) Guetti. Peter attended Columbia High School and graduated with the Class of 1961. Shortly after graduation, Peter enlisted in the United State Air Force and served his country from 1961-1963. After several years of service, he was honorably discharged.

Peter went on to study Business at Hudson Valley Community College.

On November 6, 1993, Peter was united in marriage to the former Lori Sarpen in Johnstown, NY. The couple have shared a union of 28 years.

He was formerly employed with New York State Office of General Services in Albany, New York. He retired in 2008 after 20 years of service.

Peter enjoyed hunting and fishing in his younger years.

He is survived by his wife, Lori Guetti of Utica, NY; his brothers, Bart Guetti and his wife, Karen Guetti of West Lebanon, NH, Wayne Guetti of Lake City, FL; several brothers and sisters in law; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Peter was predeceased by his mother and father, Henry and Jeanne Guetti.

Funeral services are private and a committal service will be held at the Dolgeville Cemetery in Dolgeville, New York where the United States Air Force Honor Guard will accord funeral honors. The family is being cared for by Roberts Funeral Home and Miller-Plonka Funeral Home, 3 East Faville Avenue, Dolgeville, New York 13329.

The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff at St. Elizabeth Medical Center for the attentive care Peter received during his final days.
