Pauline M. LaGrange, 88, of Dolgeville, New York, passed away unexpectedly on Friday morning, February 26, 2021 at Valley Health Services in Herkimer, New York where she had been a resident for the last two months.
She was born on January 9, 1933 in Richfield Springs, New York and was the daughter of the late, Burline and Etta (Comstock) Daley.
Pauline was formerly married to Harold R. LaGrange in Salisbury, New York in 1957. Mr. LaGrange passed away on July 21, 1986.
Pauline spent most of her life as a loving mother and homemaker. She was of the Methodist faith. Pauline enjoyed playing cards, camping, cooking, baking, fishing, and knitting. Her most precious time was spent in the company of her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Pauline will be dearly missed by her family.
She is survived by her beloved children, Harold LaGrange and his companion, Tammy Green of Stratford, NY, Maryanne Barnes of Dolgeville, NY, Donna Vedder and her husband, Gene of Salisbury, NY, Ruth Mamrosh and her husband, James of Dolgeville, NY, Emma Volkins of Dolgeville, NY, and Edward LaGrange of Fort Plain, NY; 23 special grandchildren; 27 cherished great-grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; brothers, Clint Daley and his wife, Kathleen of Little Falls, NY, Burline Daley and his wife, Valerie of Dolgeville, NY, and Albert Daley and his wife, Laqueta of OK; brother in law, James Snyder of Newport, NY; and many nieces and nephews.
Pauline is predeceased by her beloved children, JoAnn Howe, James LaGrange, Jackie LaGrange, and Burr LaGrange; sons in law, Davis Vokins and Thomas Barnes; two sisters, Carol Snyder and Catherine Bunce; and two brothers, James Daley and Jack Daley.
Calling hours will be private for her family and held at Miller-Plonka Funeral Home, 30 Wolf Street, Dolgeville, New York. A spring graveside service will be held in Curtis Cemetery where she will be laid to rest with her family.
