Patricia H. Wayne, 85, of Oppenheim, New York, passed away peacefully on Tuesday evening, May 19, 2026 in the comfort of her own home. At the time of her passing, she had the love of her husband and daughter by her side.
She was born on January 13, 1939 in Manhattan, New York and was the daughter of the late, Thomas and Helen (Knapp) Bell. Patricia was educated at High School of Commerce.
Patricia enlisted in the United States Army in August of 1959 in Manhattan, New York. She served her country for nearly two years as a private and was honorably discharged in November of 1961. While enlisted, Patricia attended nursing school to become a nurse.
On October 8, 1994, Patricia was united in marriage to Frederick G. Wayne in Wingdale, New York. They shared 31 years of marriage together.
She was formerly employed as a nurse at Little Falls Hospital for over five years until her retirement.
In earlier years, Patricia enjoyed snowmobiling. She also adored her many cats she loved over the years, gardening, tending to her plants and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her beloved husband, Frederick G. Wayne at home; her daughters, Helen Koppie of Hyde Park, NY, Maureen Grogan and her companion, Stan Dziok of Windsor, CT, Valerie Adam and her husband, Tim of Mahopac, NY, and Maria Vera and her husband, SC; step-daughter, Marna Wayne Proscia and her husband, Anthony of Mahopac, NY; grandchildren, Tyler Bruns of Poughkeepsie, NY, Richie Savarese and Nikki of Wingdale, NY, Erin Eimicke & Doug of Dover Plains, NY, Tim Adam of Mahopac, NY, William Adam and Laura of Danbury, CT, Patricia Adam and John Dederick of Little River, SC, and James Vera and Mya of Orlando, FL; great-grandchildren, Sophia Savarese, Vincenzo Savarese, Jacob Eimicke, Shelby Eimicke, Christian Dederick, Kayleigh Dederick, Carter Dederick, Ethan Vera, Athena Vera, Casey Adam, Riley Adam, Mason Adam and Brooke Adam; several nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.
Patricia was predeceased by her brothers, Robert Bell, Thomas Bell and John Bell; sisters, Diane Cody and Nancy Bell; son-in-law, Dan Koppie, great-nephew, Michael Cody; brothers-in-law, John Cody and Tom Comcowich.
