At the time of her passing, she had the love and support of her husband and sisters by her side.

She was born on July 22, 1966 in Little Falls, New York and was the daughter of the late, Robert and Violet (Looman) Harwick. Norma was educated at Little Falls High School and graduated with the Class of 1985.

On October 24, 1987, Norma was united in marriage to Edgar C. Rumrill in Stratford, New York. The couple recently celebrated 36 years of marriage together.

She was of the Methodist faith.

Norma was formerly employed as an associate with HMS at the Iroquois Plaza on the New York State Thruway in Little Falls, New York. She worked there for 13 years until her illness prevented her from working further. Prior to that, she was employed by Daniel Green Shoe Company and LaSalle Labs.

In her spare time, Norma enjoyed bowling and trips to the casino to play Bingo. She also loved spending time with her husband, sisters and family.

She is survived by her beloved husband, Edgar C. Rumrill at home; her siblings, Kandi Smith and her husband, Roger, Jr. of Cohoes, NY, David Harwick and his wife, Rachel of FL, and Beverly Whitmer and her husband, Tim of Cohoes, NY; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and a very special great-niece, Adalynn Whitmer; and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law of the Rumrill and Briggs Families.

In keeping with family wishes, there will be no services. A private family interment will be held at Salisbury Rural Cemetery in the spring.

The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff of Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center for their kind and compassionate care for Norma and her family during her final days.
