Obituary
Neil B. Johnson, Sr., 59, of Stratford, New York, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 9, 2023 at Bassett Healthcare in Cooperstown, New York after a lengthy illness.
He was born on February 26, 1964 in Little Falls, New York and was the son of the late, Melvin and Elva (Belcher) Johnson, Sr. He was educated at Stratford Central School.
In his spare time, Neil enjoyed spending time outdoors including, fishing, having campfires, friends and rides with his sister, Brenda.
He is survived by his son, Neil B. Johnson, Jr. of FL; 2 grandsons; siblings, Brenda Purpura of Salisbury, NY, Cynthia Provence and her husband, Richard of FL, Melvin (Bud) Johnson and his wife, Kim of Caroga Lake, NY; special nieces and nephews, Casey and Jimmy Palmeroni, Neil and Kelly Purpura, and Toni and Larry Williams; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Neil was predeceased by his parents and siblings, Gale Johnson, Daniel Johnson, Richard Johnson, Wayne Johnson and William Johnson.
In keeping with Neil’s wishes. There will be no services. The family is being cared for by Miller-Plonka Funeral Home, 30 Wolf Street, Dolgeville, New York 13329.
