Matthew Gregory Hall

Matthew Gregory Hall, age 59, formerly of Dolgeville, New York, passed from this life on Thursday, June 5, 2025 at his residence in Hatfield, Pennsylvania.

Matthew was born in Little Falls, New York on September 8, 1965 and was the son of Harvey and Elizabeth (Homrighaus) Hall. He journeyed with his family to meet his father in Japan. This was one of many moves in Matthew’s early years as his father was a career NCO in the United States Air Force. The family returned to Dolgeville in 1976. Matthew attended Dolgeville Central School and graduated with the Class of 1984.

He was an excellent artist. Matthew attended school for graphic design and worked in that field in Cincinnati, Ohio. He moved to Pennsylvania in 1990. Matthew was a valuable employee of the Wesco Industrial Products in Lansdale, PA for over 15 years, working until the time of his death. Matthew made several visits back to Dolgeville when his parents resided there, to see lifetime friends, as well as his family. His interests included history, politics, study of the sky, and his Philadelphia sports teams, the Phillies and Eagles.

Matthew is survived by his beloved parents, Harvey and Elizabeth (Homrighaus) Hall of 541 Mashes Sands Road, Panacea, FL; a sister, Catherine Louise (Hall) Messina (David) of Augusta, GA; brothers, Mark Hall of Destin, FL and David Hall (Romany) of Crawfordville, FL; an aunt, Gayle Rawlins of Australia; a niece, Sophia (Messina) Kinlein (Brandon) of Augusta, GA; a nephew, Maxwell Messina (Shayna) of Portland, OR; great-nephews, Miles Kinlein and Graham Kinlein of Augusta, GA; an aunt, Gayle Rawlings of Australia; and several cousins.  

A graveside service will be held on Monday, July 28, 2025 at 11 a.m. at Dolgeville Cemetery with Pastor Mark Hediger officiating. Friends and relatives are welcome to greet the family prior to the service starting at 10:30 a.m.
