Mary Ann Parisi, 80, a life-long beloved resident of Dolgeville, New York, passed away peacefully in the comfort of her home on Saturday morning, January 11, 2025 with her loving family and caregivers by her side.
She was born on January 19, 1944 in Little Falls, New York and was the daughter of Wilbur and Dorothy (Dalrymple) Siver. Mary Ann received her education from Stratford Central School.
On July 13, 1963, Mary Ann was united in marriage to Dominick Parisi at St. Joseph’s Church, Dolgeville, New York. The couple shared a devoted union of nearly 38 years when he passed away on March 2, 2001.
In earlier years, Mary Ann was employed with Daniel Green Shoe Company for 23 years until her retirement and then was a devoted care giver for her grandchildren while they were growing up.
She enjoyed playing cards with the ladies at Parkside Courts, going shopping, out to dinner, dancing, walking, sitting on the bench waving to everyone who would drive by, help anyone for anything and was the most giving person you would ever find. Her kindness and caring for others will keep the memory of Mary Ann alive for years to come. She will be deeply missed by her family and all that knew her.
Mary Ann is survived by her loving children, Michael Parisi of Herkimer, NY, Jackie Everson of Utica, NY, Joseph Parisi and his wife, Susan of Horsehead, NY, and Janet Parisi and her companion, David Clark of Dolgeville, NY; special grandchildren, Janet Jones, Mary Jenison (Anthony Bilger), Tara Dery (Shawn Jenison), Samuel Proveax and his wife, Victoria, Katie Benedict (Robert Hill), Kaleigh Clark and her husband, Cody, and Mariah Dodson (David Pierce); cherished great-grandchildren, Haley, Ken, Abel, Nicole, Faith, Leland, Eliot, Willow, Camdyn, Miley, Justin, Elliot Hill, Maelynn and Mason; siblings, Tom Siver of Richfield Springs, NY and Janet Ulvier of CA; sister-in-law, Mary Siver of Herkimer, NY; brothers-in-law, Carl Ulvier of CA and Anthony Parisi; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was predeceased by her brother, Lawrence Siver and a sister-in-law, Rosemarie Parisi and a beloved great-granddaughter, Cameron
Calling hours will be held on Thursday, January 16, 2025 from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. at the locally owned and family operated Miller-Plonka Funeral Home, 30 Wolf Street, Dolgeville, New York 13329, Cremations and Funerals. A funeral service will follow also at the funeral home immediately following the calling hours at 2 p.m. with Deacon Jim Bower officiating. A spring graveside service will be held on Friday, May 9, 2025 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Dolgeville, New York where she will be laid to rest alongside her husband.
