Martin G. Betz Obituary

Dolgeville - Mr. Martin G. Betz, 76, of Dolgeville, passed away Monday, July 18, 2022 at home following a brief illness.

Martin was born in Niagara Falls, NY on November 3, 1945, the son of the late Anthony and Dorothy Grass Betz. He graduated from Niagara Falls Schools. He was employed as a Telecommunications Coordinator with Eastman Kodak in Rochester for 30+ years, retiring in 1999. Martin was also at one time employed with Highland Hospital in their Radiology Department. He was of the Catholic faith and was a communicant of St. John the Evangelist in Greece, NY. He was a dog lover to his core. They were not only his pets, but his best friends. He also was a boat lover.

He is survived by his beloved children and their spouses, Amanda (Betz) Tomino and her husband, Brian of Hilton, NY, Christopher Betz and his wife, Shannon of Greece, NY, Danielle (Betz) Fontana and her husband, Larry of Greece, NY; his grandchildren, Alexandria (Betz) Winkie and her husband Larry, Samantha Mulcahy, Mikayla Mulcahy, Gino Ciaramaglia, Jocelyn Betz, Bailey Betz, Matthew Fontana, Lucas Fontana and Cameron Fontana and many close friends. He was predeceased by his sister, Marilyn Betz and longtime special friend, Gerry Freas.

Services will be held privately at the convenience of his family. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted tno the Miller-Plonka Funeral Home, 30 Wolf St., Dolgeville.
