Kevin M. Williams, 55, of Fort Plain, New York and originally from Oppenheim, New York, passed away peacefully on Friday afternoon, January 8, 2021 at Bassett Healthcare in Cooperstown, New York with his loving family by his side.
He was born on November 4, 1965 in Little Falls, New York and was the son of Ruth A. (Goodell) Williams and the late, Dale A. Williams. Kevin attended Oppenheim-Ephratah Central School and graduated with the Class of 1984.
In early years, Kevin was employed as a carpenter and a milk tank truck driver.
He was formerly married to Klaire Caley.
Kevin would attend the Oppenheim United Methodist Church. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, hunting and any outside activities. He was a member of the National Rifle Association and the Wild Life Federation. Kevin was a ball buster and a humorous man. He was also a person who would help anyone with no questions asked and a friend who had many. Kevin will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
Kevin is survived by his beloved mother, Ruth A. (Goodell) Williams of Oppenheim, NY; his former wife, Klaire Williams of MO; his sons, Mitchell Williams and his companion, Brittany Gallt of Lassellsville, NY, Lucian Williams and Larson Williams, both of MO; Allen A. Williams and his wife, Jackie of Little Falls, NY; a sister, Dale L. Rackmyre and her husband, David C, Jr.; nieces and nephews, Samantha Stanley and her husband, Dustin, David Rackmyre III, Hannah Williams, Crystal Pontius and her fiance, Richard Wilson of Utica, NY, Christopher Hayes and his wife, Christina of Little Falls, NY, Carrie Bloss of St. Johnsville, NY, Rodney Service and his fiance, Jessy Dillenbeck of Fort Plain, NY; two favorite uncles, John Goodell of Fort Plain, NY and Robert Goodell of Arizona; two aunts, Louise Medbury of Fort Plain, NY and Donna Goodell; and several cousins.
He was predeceased by his father, Dale A. Williams on July 21, 2012, a sister, Penny L. (Williams) Hayes on February 3, 2017, an uncle, Chet Goodell, Sr. on April 20, 2011 and an aunt, Kathy Goodell.
In keeping with family wishes, a Celebration of Life will take place at a time to be announced in the spring. The family is being cared for by Miller-Plonka Funeral Home, 30 Wolf Street, Dolgeville, New York.
