Keith D. Bondarchuk, 61, of the Town of Oppenheim, New York and formerly of Greenport, New York, passed away peacefully on April 30, 2024 at Albany Medical Center in Albany, New York, after a brief illness, with his loving wife, brother and sister-in-law by his side.

He was born on June 4, 1962 in Greenport, New York and was the son of Rosalie “Loretta” (Ewell) Bondarchuk and the late, Constanine “Connie” Bondarchuk. Keith was educated at Greenport High School.

On July 11, 1985, Keith was united in marriage to his high school sweetheart, Julie L. Bubb at St. Agnes Church in Greenport, New York. They shared 38 years together and raised their daughter, Melissa, in a loving home.

Keith was formerly employed with Costello Marine Contracting in Greenport, New York as a foreman for 38 years until his retirement on May 1, 2018.

In June of 2018, Keith and Julie moved to Oppenheim, New York where Keith enjoyed living in the country and maintaining his home that he called his compound. He had a strong love for music, enjoyed bonfires, target shooting, generally being outside and the company of his two cats named Fang and Wyatt Erp.

Keith was a giving person and truly and genuinely loved helping people. His fondest people to be around was his family and his friends who became family. He will be deeply and dearly missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Julie L. Bondarchuk of Oppenheim, NY; his mother, Loretta Bondarchuk of NC; one daughter, Melissa Ameden and her husband, Marcus of Greenport, NY; grandchildren, Asia, Nelson, Liam and Amena all of Greenport, NY; a brother and sister-in-law, Warren and Tonya Bondarchuk of NC; many nieces and nephews he considered his own; many cousins who he deeply loved; and his friends who became family.

Keith was predeceased by his father, Constantine “Connie” Bondarchuk and two sisters, Daria and Alyce.

In keeping with family wishes, there will be no formal wishes. The family will hold a Celebration of Life gathering at a date and time to be announced where his family will honor Keith with music and bonfires, which he would have loved.
