Julie L. Bondarchuk, 62, of the Town of Oppenheim, New York and formerly of Greenport, New York, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, January 5, 2026 at her home.
She was born on May 4, 1963 in Southampton, New York and was the daughter of the late, Robert and Judith (Harroun) Bubb. Julie was educated at Riverhead High School in Riverhead, New York.
On July 13, 1985, Julie was united in marriage to her high school sweetheart since the age of 15, Keith D. Bondarchuk at St. Agnes Church in Greenport, New York. They shared 38 years together and raised their daughter, Melissa, in a loving home. Keith passed away on April 30, 2024.
Julie held various position of employment throughout her years and lastly worked at the Herkimer County B.O.C.E.S in the kitchen for four years. Prior to that, she worked at Greenport School for over 7 years. During her years of working in the school system, Julie truly loved the kids.
In her spare time, Julie enjoyed gardening, cooking and shooting guns. She liked to entertain people by cooking good food, listening to her music, dancing, making beer, Kahula and Baileys for holidays and for fun. Her most precious memories were spent in the company of her husband, Keith where they would clam at Pipe’s Cove over the sunset and spending time with her cherished family especially her grandbabies. Julie’s legacy will live on in those who loved her most.
She is survived by her beloved daughter, Melissa Bondarchuk Ameden and her husband, Marcus of Greenport, New York; cherished grandchildren, Asia, Nelson, Liam and Amena all of Greenport, NY; a sister, Leona Urban and husband, Kevin of Kissimmee, FL; a brother, Peter Bubb of Kissimmee, NY; mother-in-law, Loretta Bondarchuk of NC; several in-laws, nieces, nephews and cousins, including special cousins, Amy and Pat Countryman who were there with Keith and Julie through the thick and thin until the ugly end.
Julie was predeceased by her husband, Keith D. Bondarchuk, her parents, Robert and Judith (Harroun) Bubb and her father-in-law, Constantine “Connie” Bondarchuk.
