Joshua "Geeker" L. Randall

Joshua “Geeker” L. Randall, 33, of Dolgeville, New York, passed away on Thursday evening, July 20, 2023, at St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Utica, New York from medical complications due to a courageous battle with Muscular Dystrophy. He was surrounded by his loving family at the time of his passing.

He was born on August 17, 1989, in Little Falls, New York and is the son of Paul and Elizabeth Randall, Sr. Josh attended Dolgeville Central School and graduated with the Class of 2008.

Josh was formerly employed by Feldmeier Equipment in Little Falls, NY where he was a valued welder for 11 years until his illness prevented him from working.

In his spare time, Josh enjoyed woodworking and was a member of the Dolgeville Rod and Gun Club as well as playing in several pool leagues throughout the years including Dibble’s Inn. Josh was cherished for his great sense of humor and the ability to be a wonderful friend. He will be sorely missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his beloved parents, Paul and Elizabeth Randall at home; two brothers, Paul D. Randall, Jr. of OH and Clinton Randall and his wife, Lisa of Salisbury, NY; cherished nieces and nephews, Clinton “CJ” Randall, Gracey Randall, Everlee Randall, and Colton Randall; many aunts, uncles and cousins of the Randall and Dykeman Families; special life-long friends, Brett Sherwood and his companion, Heather Logue  and their son, Carter, who were so important to Josh; and many friends near and far.

Josh was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Charles and Bertha Randall and his maternal grandparents, David and Linda Dykeman.

A graveside memorial service will be held on Friday, August 18, 2023 at 10:30 a.m. at Brown Cemetery in Oppenheim, New York. The family will host a Celebration of Life Reception at the Dolgeville Rod and Gun Club after the service at 12 p.m. All are welcome to attend any of the services.
