Jeffrey A. Ouderkirk, 54, of Dolgeville, New York and of Osteen, Florida passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 19, 2023 at St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Utica, New York with his loving wife and family by his side after a valiant fight with pulmonary fibrosis.

He was born on February 2, 1969 in Little Falls, New York and was the son of the late, David and Juanita (Winn) Ouderkirk. Jeff was educated at Fort Plain Central School and attended Herkimer BOCES for HVAC/R.

On August 21, 1999, Jeff was united in marriage to Correena J. Nichols at the Salisbury Methodist Church in Salisbury, New York. The couple recently celebrated 24 years of marriage and 27 years together. As a family, Jeff embraced and loved Correena’s children and they became his own and in return, he was loved the same. Jeff and Correena were true soulmates, were the best of friends and shared a once in a lifetime love for each other.

Jeff was formerly employed with Walmart Distribution Center in Sharon Springs, New York where he was a dedicated employee for 27 years.

He was an enthusiastic NASCAR fan, playing Candy Crush, loved his Dexter snuggles, a love for animals especially dogs and camping. Recently, Jeff and Correena were able to relocated to Florida where he loved his life riding his golf cart and the beautiful Florida beaches. Jeff enjoyed watching FOX News, was a huge Trump supporter and wanted to “Make America Great Again”. His most loved and cherished time was spent in the company of his wife, children and grandchildren. A loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend, Jeff will be deeply missed by all who knew him and lives he touched with his amazing personality and fun loving sense of humor.  

Jeff is survived by his beloved wife, Correena J. Ouderkirk at home; his children, Torrey (Jenny) Wood of Oppenheim, NY, Jolene (TJ) Edick of Salisbury, NY, Natasha Ostrander of Dolgeville, NY and Wade Ostrander (Amber) of Oppenheim, NY; grandchildren, Alexis Wood, Baylee Wood, Lauren Wood, Luke Edick, Braelyn Edick, Brooke Edick and Kinsley Page; siblings, John Bunker (Joy) of St. Johnsville, NY, Brenda Miller (Brian) of Oppenheim, NY, David Ouderkirk, Jr. of Fort Plain, NY, Paul Ouderkirk (Ann) of Palatine Bridge, NY, Jason Ouderkirk (Lisa) of Fultonville, NY, Roger Ouderkirk (Hope) of German Flatts, NY, and Missy Smith (Trish) of CA; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Rod Nichols (Pia) of the Town of Manheim, NY and Damian Carpenter (Stacey) of Salisbury, NY; his beloved dog, Dexter; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was predeceased by his parents, two brothers, Jim Bunker and Gerald Bunker, and his father-in-law, Rod “Billy” Nichols and mother-in-law Brenda (Moore) Carpenter.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, September 30, 2023 from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Dolgeville Rod and Gun Club, 697 Peckville Road, Dolgeville, New York. All are welcome to attend.
