Jason M. McDonald, 41, of Dolgeville, New York and formerly of Upper Marlboro, MD, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday afternoon, August 29, 2020 in Little Falls, New York.
He was born on May 27, 1979 in Landstuhl, Rhineland-Pfalz, Germany and a son to Guy and Rose Ann McDonald, while their family was stationed in Germany with the United States Air Force. Jason held dual residency as a German citizen as well as a United States of America citizen.
Jason was educated Frederick Douglas High School in Upper Marlboro, Maryland and graduated with the Class of 1998. Several years after high school, he enlisted in the United States Army and served his country.
He was currently employed by J.W. Construction Services in Syracuse, New York as a laborer, and was a painter by trade. He also did dry wall work and many construction tasks.
In his spare time, Jason enjoyed writing, calligraphy, nutrition and weight lifting, and spending time with family, canine companions, and friends. A loving son, brother, father and friend, Jason will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his beloved mother, Rose Ann McDonald of Dolgeville, NY; his cherished children, Jason Michael McDonald, II, (17), of Tulsa, OK, Jack Frederick McDonald, (13), of Tulsa, OK, and Jasmyn Sophia McDonald, (5), of Easton, MD; a loving brother and sister in law Anthony (Tony) and Lucy McDonald of Rochester, NY; his canine friends, Baxter, Harley, Cuddles and Dyson; and many special friends.
Jason was predeceased by his beloved father, Guy F. McDonald who passed away on April 3, 2020, for whom Jason deeply loved and missed since his passing.
In keeping with family wishes, there will be no local services. There will be a Celebration of Life service to be held at a later date and time to be announced.
