Howard A. Bullock Obituary

Howard A. Bullock, 80, a life-long Dolgeville, New York resident, passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday, May 7, 2025.

He was born on March 26, 1945 in Little Falls, New York and was the son of the late, Howard and Mary (Maida) Bullock. Howard attended Dolgeville Central School.

Howard was drafted into the United States Army on July 23,1968 and served during the Vietnam War, earning the rank of Sargeant. He earned the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal with Two Bronze Stars, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, Army Commendation Medal with “V” Device, Combat Infantryman Badge, Expert Rifle and First Class Gunner. He served his country bravely and received an honorable discharge on July 22, 1970.

He was formerly employed with Gehring Tricot as a third shift foreman for over 17 years until his retirement.

In his spare time, Howard enjoyed photography, computers and all types of technology.

He is survived by two sons, Jerry Bullock of Nelliston, NY and Richard Bullock and his fiancé, Trish Leavitt of Johnstown, NY; a grandson, Devin Bullock and his companion, Shantell Caponera of St. Johnsville, NY; great-grandchildren, Theodore Bullock, Dawson Bullock and Haisley Bullock; several cousins including Carl Marucci and his wife, Christina and Gina Maida Camardello Dievendorf and her husband, Dan; and several extended family members.

A public graveside service will be held on Thursday, May 15, 2025 at 1 p.m. at St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Dolgeville, New York where he will be laid to rest with his parents. Members of the United States Army Honor Guard will accord him funeral honors. The family will be present at 12:30 p.m. where visitors can greet the family before the service. All are welcome to attend.
