Gracelynn Rae Congdon, two months and nineteen days old, passed away unexpectedly at her home early Thursday morning, October 16, 2025.
She was born on Sunday, July 27, 2025 in Cooperstown, New York and is the infant daughter of Nicole Congdon and Dylan Brown.
While only here for a short time, Gracelynn was able to attend some functions with her family including seeing a Monster Truck show and going to the apple orchard as well going to the fair to see the animals. She never failed to light up whatever room she was in with her beautiful smile and contagious laugh. She enjoyed to watch movies with her parents and her big brother her favorite was Minions, her beautiful blue eyes lit up the room with her extraordinary expressions. She was loved on this Earth from the day she was born although she may have only been here for a short time her Mother, Father and Big Brother will cherish her forever and everyday going forward.
She is survived by her beloved parents, Nicole Congdon and Dylan Brown of Salisbury, NY; a big-brother, Gavin Ryan Congdon (3); maternal grandparents, Josh and Cary (Williams) Congdon of Salisbury, NY; paternal grandparents, Chad and Step Mother Cindy Becker of Canajoharie, NY and Misty Jacquard of Northville, NY; maternal great-grandparents, Rodney and Cheryl Congdon of Salisbury, NY and David and Norma Williams of Stratford, NY; paternal great-grandparents, Dwayne and Christine Gallt of Fonda, NY, Jeff Jacquard of Edinburg, NY, and Wendy Willoughby of Amsterdam, NY; paternal great-great grandmother, Janet Congdon of Salisbury , NY; several aunts, uncles and many cousins.
Gracelynn was predeceased by an infant uncle, Joshua Ryan Congdon in 1999.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, October 22, 2025 from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. at locally owned and family operated, Miller-Plonka Funeral Home, 30 Wolf Street Dolgeville, New York 13329, Cremations and Funerals. A funeral service will be held immediately following calling hours at 2 p.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Dr. R.W. Williams, pastor officiating. A private graveside committal service will be held at Curtis Cemetery for her immediate family.
The family will host a Celebration of Life Reception at the Curtis Cornerstone Chapel church hall on Saturday, October 25, 2025 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. The family has asked that visitors please wear light colors to celebrate Gracelynn’s life to her calling hours, funeral and celebration of life. All are welcome to attend.
