Erin E. Kinsella Obituary

Erin E. Kinsella, 40, of Oppenheim, New York and formerly of Mobile, Alabama, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday evening, January 1, 2025 at SUNY Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse, New York.

He was born on March 14, 1984 in Auburn, New York and was the son of Cynthia K. (Allen) Askew and the late, William M. Kinsella. Erin attended Dolgeville Central School and graduated with the Class of 2003.

He formerly worked at the Verizon Call Center as an associate in Mobile, AL until moving back to New York several years ago.

Erin enjoyed playing video games including Zelda and Animal Crossing, his Nintendo Switch, watching WWE, listening to music and watching football. He was an enthusiastic Philadelphia Eagles Fan and would chant, “Go Birds!” and “Fly Eagles Fly!”  Erin was a spiritual person, kind, loving, caring, easy going and was always trying to guide and help people. A loving son, brother, nephew and partner, who was taken too soon and he will be missed greatly.

Erin is survived by his mother and step-father, Cynthia K. Askew and Tony of Grady, AL; his companion, Sherie M. Quillan and her husband, William of Oppenheim, NY; siblings, Shawn Kinsella and his wife, Stephanie of Little Falls, NY, Timothy Hennessey and his wife, Jessica of AL, Ashlie Hennessey of AL, Jessica Ray and her husband, Preston of Mobile, AL, Emily Askew and her husband, Jake of AL and Quintin Askew of AL; a special uncle, Tom Kinsella of Syracuse, NY; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was predeceased by his father, William M. Kinsella in October of 2024.

In keeping with family wishes, there will be no services. The family is being cared for by locally owned and family operated, Miller-Plonka Funeral Home, 30 Wolf Street, Dolgeville, New York 13329, Cremations and Funerals.
