Eileen B. Muller Obituary

Eileen B. Muller, 82, of Canada Lake, New York, passed away peacefully on Tuesday evening, January 14, 2025 at Lutheran Care Home in Clinton, New York.

She was born on October 27, 1942 in Stratford, New York and was the daughter of the late, Allison and Bernice (McGowan) Perkins. She was educated at Stratford Central School and graduated with the Class of 1960. Eileen went on to further her education and received her Master’s Degree.

On August 29, 1970, Eileen was united in marriage to Jeffrey Muller and shared a union of 41 years when Jeff passed away in July of 2011.

She was formerly employed as a lab technician for area hospitals and retired from Nathan Littauer after many years of service.

Eileen enjoyed being a snowbird in Daytona, Florida in the winter and loved her home on Canada Lake, New York in the summer. She was a very independent woman and traveled back and forth from New York to Florida well into her late 70’s with no GPS or cell phone. Eileen was an active person being an avid walker, walking at least two miles every day and a skilled golfer where she walked the course each time (carts are for the lazy).

She was a faithful member of the North Bush United Methodist Church and her Methodist church in Daytona. Eileen had a commitment for giving. Each month, when she sat down to write her checks for her bills, she also gave to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, The American Heart Association, The American Cancer Society, the American Lung Association, and the Alzheimer’s Association.

In her later years, Eileen was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s and was loved and cared for by her nieces, Crystal Brandow and Julie Daley with the help and guidance of the staff at Lutheran Care Home.

She is survived by her siblings, Alan Perkins and his wife, Karen of Stratford, NY, Marilynn Servidone of Ilion, NY, Bernadette Metz and her partner, Dave Cool of Stratford, NY, Keith “Joe” Perkins and his wife, Yvonne of MD, Alicia Blowers of Galaway, NY; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Michael and Louise Muller and Pam and George Farhart; a special life-long friend, Millie Busch; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great nieces and great-great nephews.

Eileen was predeceased by her parents; husband; two siblings; a brother, Thomas Perkins and his wife, Sally; a sister, Kathleen Lasher and her husband, Claude; and a brother-in-law, Ralph Servidone.

In keeping with Eileen’s wishes, there will be no services. The family is being cared for by locally owned and family operated, Miller-Plonka Funeral Home, 30 Wolf Street, Dolgeville, New York 13329, Cremations and Funerals.
