Donald K. Randall, Sr.

Donald K. Randall, Sr., 84, of Salisbury Center, New York, passed away peacefully on Tuesday morning, January 19, 2021 in Oppenheim, New York and in the comfort of his beloved family.

He was born on October 23, 1936 in Dolgeville, New York and was the son of the late, Harold and Daisy (Moore) Randall. He was educated at Dolgeville Central School.

On September 10, 1955, Donald was united in marriage to the former Beverly J. Pollard at the Stratford United Methodist Church. The couple shared a loving marriage of 57 years where they raised their four children in a loving home. Mrs. Randall passed away on October 27, 2012.

Donald was the owner and operator of Donald Randall Logging in Salisbury, New York for many years until his retirement. He was also formerly employed with Bell Construction, Dean and Arnold Moore Logging and Harold Randall Logging where he worked alongside his son.

He enjoyed spending his time in the outdoors while he worked and in particular hunting and fishing. Donald's greatest treasure was the relationships he formed with his family especially his son, Harold and his cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was a gentle, caring and giving man and if anyone needed a hand for help, he would be the first one there. Donald will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

Donald is survived by his beloved children, Harold and Donna (Steele) Randall of Dolgeville, NY and Donna Boyer of Stratford, NY; a daughter in law, Brenda Randall of Salisbury, NY; 16 loving grandchildren; 22 special great-grandchildren; a great-great grandson soon to be expected in February of 2021; two brothers, Arthur Randall and his wife, Betty of Salisbury, NY and Randy Randall and his wife, Shelly of Salisbury, NY; sisters and brother in-law, Barbara Pollard of Stratford, NY, Madeline Randall of Oppenheim, NY and Timothy Harlow, Sr. of Oppenheim, NY; special cousins, Arnold Moore (Sonny) of Salisbury, NY and Hiram "Jim" Moore of Fonda, NY; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews and cousins.

He was predeceased by his beloved wife and sons, Beverly Randall, Donald Randall, Jr. and Ronald Randall, Sr.; a cherished granddaughter, Laurie Randall; brothers, Harold Randall, Jr., Robert & Wilma Randall, Arnold Randall; sisters, June and Donald Doxstader, Joan Randall, Linda and Leland Nichols, and Sandra Harlow.
