Denise E. Robillard, 72, of Dolgeville, New York, passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday evening, April 28, 2024.

She was born on June 14, 1951 in Amsterdam, New York and was the daughter of the late, Peter and Doris (Taylor) Robillard. Denise attended Broadalbin High School where she graduated with the Class of 1969. After high school, Denise enrolled in the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City.

On May 10, 1998, Denise was united in marriage to Scott D. Madison in Dolgeville, New York. The couple shared 25 years together.

Denise was the owner and operator of Denise’s Originals, Arts and Crafts in Dolgeville, New York for over 40 years. She was also the previous owner of the Five and Dime in Dolgeville, New York.

In her spare time, she enjoyed antiques, craft fairs and creating all types of art pieces. She loved cats, especially Siamese and Himalayan cats, shopping for fabrics to make quilts and watching documentaries on wildlife. A loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister, she will be dearly missed.

Denise is survived by her beloved husband, Scott D. Madison at home; her children, Elizabeth Farley of VA, James Farley of NC, Matthew Farley and his companion, Shannon of CA, and Sheila Madison and her husband, Puneeth of MD; granddaughter, Jacqueline Wilkins of VA; a sister, Renee Robillard Merchant and her husband, Richard of SC; a brother, Peter Robillard and his wife, Claudia Robillard of Broadalbin, NY; a brother-in-law, John Lindower of SC; several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law of the Madison and Avery families; many nieces and nephews; and great-nieces and great nephews.

She was predeceased by her parents and a sister, Michelle Lindower.

In keeping with family wishes, there will be no services. The family is being cared for by locally owned and family operated, Miller-Plonka Funeral Home, 30 Wolf Street, Dolgeville, New York 13329, Cremations and Funerals.
