David A. Larrivee Obituary

David A. Larrivee, 65, of Stuyvesant, New York passed away peacefully on Monday, January 31, 2022 at Columbia Memorial Hospital in Hudson, New York with his wife by his side.

He was born on March 15, 1956 in Providence, Rhode Island and was the son of the late, Gerard and Carolyn (Caito) Larrivee. David grew up in Cranston, Rhode Island and attended Cranston High School where he graduated with the Class of 1974.

On May 19, 2012, David was united in marriage to Betina S. (Walton) in Ashaway, Rhode Island.

David was formerly employed with the I.U.O.E. Local 57 as a heavy equipment diesel mechanic until his retirement in 2016.

In his spare time, he enjoyed gardening and canning his fresh vegetables, farming, and tinkering on motorcycles, cars and tractors. Dave loved life and had an amazing will to live. He lost his fight but his memory will remain forever in all who knew him.

David is survived by his wife, Betina S. Larrivee of Stuyvesant, NY; a son, David Larrivee of Cranston, RI; two step-sons, Sam Gunther of Preston, CT and Robert Rothvoss, III of Hope Valley, RI; his siblings, Gerard Larrivee, Jr. and his wife, Carolyn, Steven Larrivee, John Larrivee, and Janice Larrivee; brothers-in-law, James Walton and Mike Walton; and several nieces, nephews, cousin and extended family members.

In keeping with family wishes, there will not be immediate services for David. A Celebration of Life gathering will take place at a date and time to be announced. The family is being cared for by Miller-Plonka Funeral Home, 30 Wolf Street, Dolgeville, New York.
