David A. Jenison, Jr., 41, of Dolgeville, New York passed away unexpectedly of natural causes, early Monday morning, June 19, 2023 at Albany Medical Center in Albany, New York.
He was born on September 18, 1981 in Little Falls, New York and is the son of David A. Jenison, Sr. and Melonie S. (Daley) Lawrence. David was educated at Oppenheim-Ephratah Central School and graduated with the Class of 2000.
David was employed at a variety of local factories throughout the years, which include, North Hudson Woodcraft in Dolgeville, NY and Empire Fiberglass and Feldmeier Equipment in Little Falls, NY.
In his spare time, David enjoyed fishing, hunting and camping. His most prized time was spent in the company of his dear son, Ayden and Ayden’s brother, Aaryn. David was a quiet, gentle and kind person who would give the shirt off his back for you or anyone. A loving father, son, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin and friend, he will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his parents, Melonie and Michael Lawrence of Oppenheim, NY and David A. Jenison, Sr. of Lake Alfred, FL; his son, Ayden Jenison and Ayden’s brother, Aaryn Longway whom David treated like a son, of Little Falls, NY; his siblings, Matthew Jenison and his wife, Mary of Dolgeville, NY, Amie Buddenhagen and her husband, Jeff of Mohawk, NY, Shawn Jenison and his companion, Tara Markwardt of Dolgeville, NY; step-siblings, Matthew Lawrence and his fiancé, Kira Miller of Little Falls, NY, Amanda Lawrence and her companion, Flint Davis, Jr. of St. Johnsville, NY Lesley Lawrence and her companion, Mike Munoz of Little Falls, NY, Jacob Lawrence and his wife, Jenna of Amsterdam, NY and Nathan Lawrence and his companion, Teigan Vicciarelli of St. Johnsville, NY; aunts and uncles, Bill and Andrea Daley, Alan and Jeanne Daley, Neil Daley, Judy and Art Yatarola, Sundi and Buster Jones, Dorothy Simpson, Marsha and Quinn Burdick, Doug and Patricia Jenison and Stacey and Bill Juba; many nieces, nephews, cousins and his beloved dog, Copper.
David was predeceased by his maternal grandparents, William and Dorothy Daley, paternal grandparents, Charles and Martha Jenison and an aunt, Linda Kay.
Calling hours will be held on Monday, June 26, 2023 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Miller-Plonka Funeral Home, 30 Wolf Street, Dolgeville, New York. A funeral will be held immediately following calling hours at 12 p.m. (noon) also at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Curtis Cemetery where he will be laid to rest with his Grandpa and Grandma Daley. A Celebration of Life Reception will be held immediately following the graveside service at the Dolgeville Rod and Gun Club. All are welcome to attend all services.
