Carol A. Smith

Carol A. Smith, 81, of the Town of Salisbury, New York passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 19, 2026 at Wynn Hospital in Utica, New York with her family by her side.

She was born on July 15, 1944 in Little Falls, New York and was the daughter of the late, Robert and Elsie (Moore) Smith. Carol was educated at Stratfor Central School and graduated with the Class of 1962. She also attended Fulton Montgomery Community College.

Carol was formerly employed by the New York State Department of Labor in Utica, New York for over 25 years until her retirement.

In her spare time, Carol enjoyed gardening and the quiet peace of living in the country.

She is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Monte and Linda Smith of Dolgeville, NY; three nephews, Sean Smith and his wife, Danielle (Herrmann) of New Hartford, NY, Jeremy Smith of Dolgeville, NY and Juston Smith and his companion, Theresa Morris of Dolgeville, NY; six great-nieces and great-nephews.

Carol was predeceased by her parents; two brothers, Robert D. Smith, II and David E. Smith; and an infant sister, Virginia Smith.

A spring graveside memorial service will be held in the spring at Curtis Corners Cemetery in the Town of Salisbury, New York at a date and time to be announced.
