Ann M. Sheppard, 74, of Dolgeville, New York and formerly of Auburn, New York, passed away on Friday, August 18, 2023 at Albany Medical Center in Albany, New York.
She was born on August 20, 1948 in Auburn, New York and was the daughter of the late, Martin and Mary (Carbone) Vogler. Ann was educated at Mount Carmel High School in Auburn, New York and graduated with the Class of 1966.
Ann was formerly employed by the New York State, Office for People with Developmental Disabilities as a residential healthcare aide for over 10 years.
On June 9, 2001, Ann was united in marriage to Michael F. Sheppard at his family homestead on Keyser Lake Road in the Town of Oppenheim, New York. The couple shared a married union of 22 years and 33 years all together.
Ann loved to trout fish with her husband, enjoyed cooking, play games on the computer, and was an avid animal lover. She truly enjoyed her most favorite time spent in the company of her grandchildren when they were younger. Ann will be missed by her close family.
She is survived by her beloved husband, Michael “Mike” F. Sheppard at home; her daughter, Kimberly David and her companion, Jayme of Auburn, NY; four grandchildren, Cassy Kent of Marcellus, NY, Darien David and her companion, Darick, Michael David and his companion, Gabby, and Ethan David and his companion, Lily all of Auburn, NY; five great-grandchildren, Aubreyanna Kent, Jayden Kent, Colie Kent, Onna’Leigh David, and Elijha David; a sister, Roseann David and her husband, Ronald of FL; a brother, Marty Vogler and his wife, Debbie of Port Byron, NY; in-laws, Robert Sheppard of Oppenheim, NY, Anita Macintosh of Auburn, NY, Bonnie Chrisman and her husband, Red of Stratford, NY and Ed Sheppard of FL; many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Ann was predeceased by an infant great-granddaughter, O’livia David; a brother-in-law, Jim Macintosh; and a sister-in-law, Karen Cool.
In keeping with family wishes there will be no services. She will be laid to rest in Dolgeville Cemetery in Dolgeville, New York at the family’s convenience. The family is being cared for by Miller-Plonka Funeral Home, 30 Wolf Street, Dolgeville, New York.
