Allan L. Mosher, III, 46, of Gloversville, New York, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, January 20, 2025 at Nathan Littauer Hospital in Gloversville, New York after suffering an apparent cardiac event at home.
He was born on June 18, 1978 in Little Falls, New York and is the son of Allan L. Mosher, Jr. and Cindy L. (Schuyler) Mosher. Allan attended Saranac Lake High School and graduated with the Class of 1998.
Shortly after graduation, Allan enlisted in the United States Army in 1998. Through the course of his military career, he was stationed around several bases in the U.S. as a mechanic. After ten years of faithful service, Allan received an honorable discharge in 2008 from San Jose, California.
Allan was currently employed by Price Chopper in Johnstown, New York as a deli associate.
In his spare time, Allan enjoyed cruising around in car rides, visiting Lake George for vacation, and dabbled in fishing.
He is survived by his long-time companion, Michelle Montarno of Gloversville, NY; his parents, Allan L. and Cindy L. Mosher, Jr. of Oppenheim, New York, paternal grandmother, Frances M. Mosher of Oppenheim, NY; a brother, Leland Mosher and his companion, Alexandria May of Gloversville, NY; a sister, Kristy Mosher and her companion, Ian Brown of Dannemora, NY; additional family members, Katlyn Mosher, Elizabeth Mosher, and Allison Mosher, all of Oppenheim, NY and Antonio Mosher of Dannemora, NY; several aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family within the Mosher and Schuyler families.
Allan was predeceased by his paternal grandfather, Allan L. Mosher, Sr. and maternal grandparents, Leland and Doris Schuyler.
A Celebration of Life Reception will be held on Friday, January 31, 2025 from 4:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Valley Alliance Church, 85 E. Main St., Palatine Bridge NY 13428. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, August 16, 2025 at 1 p.m. at Dibble Tuttle Cemetery, Salisbury, New York where the United States Army Honor Guard will accord Allan his funeral honors.
