Aaron Michael Johnson, 40, of Dolgeville, Town of Salisbury, New York, passed away peacefully, early Tuesday morning, April 1, 2025 on his 40th birthday, at Wynn Hospital in Utica, New York with his loving family by his side after several years of health issues.
He was born on April 1, 1985 in Little Falls, New York and was the son of Randy S. Johnson, Sr. and Cindy L. Jaikin-Sutton. Aaron was educated at Dolgeville Central School and graduated with the Class of 2003.
In 2005, Aaron met his fiancé, Nicole Mesick and the couple have shared a loving union of 19 years and raised their three children together.
He was formerly employed with Walmart Distribution Center in Johnstown, New York and most recently with Finger Lakes Billets in Dolgeville, New York.
Aaron loved all things outdoors including fishing, hunting, four-wheeling, off-roading, camping and small engine repair fixing anything he could. His greatest blessings were his children where he enjoyed attending their sporting events and concerts, any time spent in the company of his extended family, friends and neighbors, and helping them whenever they needed him. A loving fiancé, father, son, brother, nephew, cousin and friend, Aaron’s presence will be sorely and deeply missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his fiancé, Nicole Mesick at home; his children, Caleb Stowell, Kyrah Johnson and Kailynn Johnson all at home; soon to be born, first granddaughter, Haven Jane Johnson; father, Randy S. Johnson, Sr. of Salisbury, NY; mother, Cindy L. Jaikin-Sutton and her husband, John C. Sutton of Dolgeville, NY; a brother, Randy S. Johnson, Jr. and his wife, Kaycie of Dolgeville, NY; a sister, Jessica Barnes and her husband, Jason of Salisbury, NY; paternal grandmother, Janet Johnson of Salisbury, NY, maternal grandfather, Peter Jaikin and his wife, Ruth Jaikin; nieces, Ella Barnes and Rylie Johnson; a nephew, Kyle Johnson; father-in-law and mother-in-law, John and Linda Mesick; several in-laws; he loved and was loved by many numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Aaron was predeceased by his maternal grandmother, Janette Jaikin, paternal grandfather, Robert Johnson, Sr., uncle, Peter Jaikin, Jr., aunt, Gail Johnson, cousins, Tonya Johnson, Cassandra Johnson, and Sophia Johnson.
The family will receive relatives and friends for calling hours on Sunday, April 6, 2025 from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. at locally owned and family operated, Miller-Plonka Funeral Home, 30 Wolf Street, Dolgeville, New York 13329, Cremations and Funerals. There will be no formal service at the conclusion of calling hours. All are welcome to attend. The family will hold a private Celebration of Life for Aaron at a later date.
