Richard L. Mosher

Richard L. Mosher, 61, of Metamora, Indiana and formerly of Stratford, New York, passed away peacefully early Saturday morning, December 21, 2019, with his loving wife by his side at Christ Hospital in Cincinnati, OH after a courageous battle with cancer.

He was born on October 22, 1958 in Little Falls, New York and was the son of Raymond and Gertrude (Herringshaw) Mosher.  Richard was educated at Stratford Central School and graduated with the Class of 1976.

On June 11, 1983, Richard was married to Cathy L. Bevers at the Salisbury Methodist Church. The couple shared a blessed union of 36 years together, where they raised their 3 sons in a loving home.

Richard was last employed as an auto body technician for collision repair at Berlin City Chevrolet in Gorham, New Hampshire and spent most of his life working in the industry.

He was raised of the Catholic faith and was a former member of the Stratford Volunteer Fire Department.  Richard was an avid deer hunter and enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson.  His most precious time was spent in the company of his wife, three sons and his two grandchildren.

Richard is survived by his beloved wife, Cathy L. Mosher at home; his mother, Gertrude Mosher of Stratford, NY; his three sons, Justin Mosher and his wife, Sara of Sunman, IN, Preston Mosher of Batesville, IN, and Dalton Mosher and his wife, Hannah of Lake Santee, IN; grandchildren, Baron Mosher and Annaliese Mosher; siblings, Michael Mosher of Stratford, NY, Karen Nellis of Caroga Lake, NY, Cindy Pollard and her husband, William of Stratford, NY, Mathew Mosher of Wilmington, NC; mother in law, Eva Bevers of Little Falls, NY; long-time best friend, Fred Palmeter and his wife, Robin of Dolgeville, NY; several brothers and sisters in law, nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was predeceased by his father, Raymond I. Mosher, Jr., brother, Raymond I. Mosher, III, and a brother in law, Daniel Nellis, nephew, Dennis Williams and a cousin, Rodney Hart.

Calling hours will be held Friday, December 27, 2019 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home, 3 East Faville Avenue, Dolgeville, New York.  A funeral service will be held immediately following calling hours at 12 p.m. (noon) also at the funeral home, with Deacon Jim Bower.  A graveside service will be held in the spring at Dibble Tuttle Cemetery, Salisbury Center, New York.
