June M. Doxstader, 86, of Dolgeville, New York, passed away peacefully on Sunday evening, January 10, 2021 at Foltsbrook Center in Herkimer, New York.
She was born on November 1, 1934 in Salisbury, New York and was the daughter of the late, Harold and Daisy (Moore) Randall. She was educated at Salisbury Schools.
On May 19, 1951, June was united in marriage to Donald C. Doxstader, Sr. in Nelliston, New York. The couple shared a loving marriage of 56 years until Mr. Doxstader passed away on November 9, 2007.
June owned and operated Doc's Tavern and apartments on Main Street in Dolgeville for over 30 years until her retirement.
She enjoyed cooking and taking trips with her husband and sons. June was a caring woman and was devoted to her family. She will be greatly missed by them.
June is survived by her son, Dave Doxstader of Geneva, NY; her grandchildren, Janessa (Michael) Fletcher, Jay (Cassie Perry) Doxstader, Joseph Doxstader, Katie (Randy) Herringshaw, Dale (DJ) Doxstader Jr., Aaron Doxstader, Dana Doxstader, Nicole Doxstader, and Jason Doxstader; many great-grandchildren; her brothers, Arthur Randall and his wife Betty of Salisbury Center, NY of Salisbury Center, New York, Donald Randall, and Randy Randall and his wife, Shelly of Salisbury Center, NY; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, cousins and extended family members.
She was predeceased by her husband, Donald C. Doxstader Sr.; her sons, Donald C. Doxstader, Jr. on April 6, 2013 and Dale C. Doxstader, Sr. on August 3, 2020; her grandson, Justin Doxstader; her siblings, Robert Randall and his wife, Wilma, Arnold Randall, Harold Randall, Jr., Virginia Snyder and her husband, Mort, Joan Vanesse, Sandy Harlow and Linda Nichols and a sister in law, Beverly Randall.
In keeping with June's wishes, there will be no formal funeral services. Interment will take place on May 19, 2021 at a time to be announced at Salisbury Rural Cemetery where she will be laid to rest with her husband, Donald, Sr. and two sons, Donald, Jr. and Dale, Sr.
