Biography

Charlotte M. Noonan, 94, of Dolgeville, and more recently, a resident of Alpine Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Little Falls, passed away peacefully, Thursday evening, November 5, 2009.

She was born on January 14, 1915 in Salisbury, New York, a daughter of the late Irving and Laura (Richards) Hall. She was educated in area schools and was of the Methodist faith.

On April, 6, 1935, she was united in marriage to Andrew F. Noonan in Dolgeville, New York. He passed away on May 2, 1978.

Mrs. Noonan enjoyed knitting, crocheting, and doing jigsaw puzzles. She also enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She will be missed dearly by them.

She is survived by her beloved children; Richard A. Noonan and his wife, Ann of Dolgeville, NY, Charles I. Noonan and his wife, Joan of Clinton, NY, and Patricia A. Smith and her husband, Charles of Little Falls, NY; four special grandchildren, Charles “Skip” Noonan of NJ, David Noonan of Herkimer, Timothy Noonan and his wife, Andrea of CT, Jodi Montgomery and her husband, Christopher of Little Falls, NY; two cherished great-grandchildren, Devin Noonan of NJ and Brendan Noonan of NJ.

She was predeceased by her siblings; four brothers and one sister, and a special friend, Oliver Obert.

Calling hours for Mrs. Noonan will be held on Sunday, November 8, 2009 at Miller-Plonka Funeral Home, 30 Wolf Street, Dolgeville, New York, from 12 p.m. (Noon) to 2 p.m. Funeral services will be held immediately following calling hours at 2 p.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Rebecca Laird, pastor officiating. Interment will be held in Rural Park Cemetery, Inghams Mills.

In lieu of floral offerings, the family has asked that memorial contributions may be made to Stratford-Salisbury Volunteer Ambulance Services, 75 N. Helmer Ave, Dolgeville, NY.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the doctors, nurses, and staff at the Alpine Rehabilitation and Nursing Center for all of their compassion and care that was shown to Mrs. Noonan during her stay.
