Roger A. Cool Obituary

Roger A. Cool, 68, of Balch Springs, Texas, passed away peacefully on Friday evening, March 8, 2023 at Dallas Memorial Hospital in Dallas, Texas.

He was born on July 21, 1955, in Little Falls, New York and was the son of the late, Ralph and Beverly (Carpenter) Cool. Roger attended Dolgeville Central School and graduated with the Class of 1973.

Roger began his career working on the railroad in New York and then around 1985 he moved to Texas and worked in the oil fields as well as building swimming pools. He was last employed with O’Reilly Auto Parts Distribution Center in Seagoville, Texas where he worked from 2002-2023 with 21 years of dedicated service to the company.

He was an avid sports fan of the Dallas Cowboys football team, Texas Rangers baseball team, Dallas Mavericks basketball team and Dallas Stars hockey team. He was also a fan of NASCAR.

Roger is survived by his son, Christian Cool and his wife, Mackenzie of Marble Falls, TX; three grandchildren, Brittany Cool of Kemper, TX, Cade Cool of Marble Falls, TX and Emmerson Cool of Marble Falls, TX; two great-grandchildren, Briella Woldridge and Kahli Woldridge, both of Kemper, TX; a sister, Linda Seeley and her husband, Martin of Stratford, NY; two brothers, Thomas Cool and his wife, Pam of Oppenheim, NY and Charles Cool and his wife, Jackie of Allegan, MI; uncle and great-uncle to several nieces, nephews and many cousins.

He also leaves his close friends who were like family, Harold and Cindy Youker of Stratford, NY, Texas friends, his best friend who was like a brother to him, David McConnell of Balch Springs, TX, Juan Trevino and Don Craig of Seagoville, TX; several local friends; and his fellow friends with the AMVETS.

Roger was predeceased by his sister, Bonnie Mamrosh and her husband, John; and two brothers, David Cool and Jeffrey Cool.

In keeping with Roger’s wishes, he will be cremated and there will be no services. The family is being cared for by locally owned and family operated, Miller-Plonka Funeral Home, 30 Wolf Street, Dolgeville, New York, Cremations and Funerals.
